Cable ONE Gives Back to Texarkana Non-Profit Organization

Texarkana, TX

Small business owners recently had the opportunity to give back to the charity of their choice, just for subscribing to Cable ONE’s free business blog, TheWire. All new subscribers were automatically entered into a drawing to win one of three prizes - a Platinum Prize of $5,000, a Gold Prize of $2,500, or a Silver Prize of $1,000.

Bob Letterman, Chief Information Officer of Opportunities Inc., was the winner of the Platinum Prize and chose to direct his prize close to home by donating it to his employer, Opportunities Inc., a Texarkana organization whose mission is to provide a variety of essential services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Letterman said Cable ONE services have been an integral part of the daily business activities of Opportunities Inc. since 2007, so the opportunity to receive the company’s business blog as well as a potential donation to his company was a win-win situation.

“Donations like this are an essential part of our success,” Letterman said. “This donation will go towards providing much needed services to the children and adults in our community who are dealing with developmental disabilities,” Letterman said.

Cable ONE General Manager Greg Capranica said that Cable ONE is committed to strengthening and improving the communities it serves, not only through its products and services, but through support of local community and non-profit agencies.

“We’re thrilled that we can help our customers grow their business, while at the same time partnering with them to give back to our local community,” Capranica said. “We want to ensure that we are the kind of company that our communities are proud to call a neighbor.”
